I’ll admit that I am a huge fan of heavy music. Any kind of aggressive, intense heavy metal or punk rock is my cup of tea. At the same time though, I’m a fan of many different kinds of music. Especially calmer music that has a laidback vibe. Quincy Mumford and the Reason Why’s newest album It’s Only Change was a breath of fresh air.
Recorded in only ten days with producer Ken Coomer, singer/songwriter Quincy Mumford brings together a collection of songs that tell stories of love, loss, and the everyday experiences of life that make us all human.
One of the best things about this album is that, throughout its ten tracks, so many various types of music are showcased. There are elements of rock, pop, jazz, and reggae interspersed throughout each song, making it a very fun and unique collection of music to listen to.
In addition, the tone of this record is very soothing. It has a great, summertime-like vibe. Relaxing, easy-listening that everyone can enjoy. The lyrics are heartfelt and honest. It’s definitely still in my playlist, and I plan on listening to it many more times.
