The Closest Thing To Closure
Release Date: April 22, 2016
Ghosts Again have released a debut EP that, while not perfect in every aspect, manages to blend together both traditional post-hardcore and modern post-hardcore. An artist's ability to blend styles speaks well to their musicianship, so I was quite impressed upon hearing the final product that is The Closest Thing To Closure. The EP is five tracks, and a great introduction into what we can more than likely expect from the band in the future. The melodic parts feature soaring melodies, while the heavier moments are direct and in-your-face. Both of those elements are essential to a great post-hardcore record, but the fact that it manages to mix both old and new styles of the genre together and retain its own identity is impressive.
This has been another Shameless Promotion.
