Release Date: March 11, 2016
Label: Rude Records
The name of the band alone conjures up images of intensity, and the notion that you're not gonna walk away from the pit without a few bruises (all in good fun, of course). The EP artwork features a fucking great white shark with a wooly mammoth, an alligator, and a King-Kong like gorilla. Closure, the second release from UK post-hardcore outfit Blood Youth, is only four tracks long, but it will hit you like a motherfucker. "Breathe", the introduction track, is ironically named as it is the calmest track on the album, almost representative of the monster that is Blood Youth taking deep breaths, preparing for battle. The calm before the storm, if you will. Once the one minute, thirty second mark hits, it's full throttle from there. Brutal screams matched with beautifully distorted instrumental work, with a little bit of singing thrown in throughout.
I can't stress how much I can't wait to hear a full album from these guys in the future.
This has been another Shameless Promotion.
