All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us
Producer: Henrik Udd, Fredrik Nordstrom
Label: Epitaph Records
The name of the album alone sends a stark reminder to us about just how dark of a world we're living in right now. Maybe Architects have a point: maybe there's so much shit going on in the world that we really have been abandoned. Hopefully, those gods (if they exist) are coming back to help fix these problems.
While we wait, let's take a listen to this record, easily the darkest album that Architects have released thus far in their career. All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us is the seventh studio album from the British metalcore outfit. It is their heaviest and darkest effort, and one that provides a blistering social commentary on the state of affairs that are inhabiting our world at this point in time. The tone of the record is consistent all the way through: heavy, with some melodic elements, and lyrically dark throughout.
If you've felt pissed off lately, this is the record that I would personally turn to for comfort. Let the band scream out your frustration of the state of the world for the duration of the record.
This has been another Shameless Promotion.
