Release Date: July 29, 2016
Label: Aurealis Records/Tutone Entertainment
The self-titled release is the first for this Canadian band, comprising a mixture of electronic and rock influences throughout seven tracks. Moscow Noir are new to the scene, and their debut EP is experimental in nature. Not every song hits perfectly, but you can sense where the band are coming from on each track. A plethora of electronic elements are at play here, but they're mixed in with indie-rock elements throughout each of the seven tracks, creating a slightly darker, more brooding tone. For a first release, it's not too shabby.
This has been another Shameless Promotion.
