Milwaukee-based metallic hardcore act Knaaves have unveiled the plans surrounding the debut album. The album in question will be called The Serpent’s Root, and it is set to be released on September 3rd via Confluence Records. Along with the announcement, the band have unveiled a brand new track, “Weight of the Crown”, for fans to listen to leading up to the release.

In a press release statement about the single, which premiered today via BrookylnVegan, the band noted the following:

"'Weight Of The Crown' was the last song we wrote for the album and its lyrical content is about the struggle of leaving something or someone you love because of things out of your control. There is always a period of mourning when loss is experienced, but it can also be the catalyst to positive transformation."
