Avril Lavigne has returned to the spotlight, unveiling her first song in nearly five years. The new song is entitled “Head Above Water”. The song was written while Lavigne has been fighting Lyme Disease (she initially revealed her diagnosis to the public in 2015).
With the new song, Lavigne has revealed through her charity, The Avril Lavigne Foundation, that the proceeds from a limited edition “Head Above Water” t-shirt will be donated to individuals suffering from Lyme Disease.
