Yesterday evening, The Fox Theater played home to the biggest headlining show to date for up-and-coming alternative pop artist Bishop Briggs. The packed theater anxiously awaited Briggs as she took the stage for a powerful headlining show that featured incredible performances of tracks from her debut album, Church of Scars (released earlier this year via Island Records).

The evening featured a guest performance from Joywave, a New York indie rock act that has been making waves within the alternative music scene these past couple of years. With a great deal of energy and engagement with the crowd than most indie bands could provide, Joywave brought forth a memorable set to get the Bay Area crowd ready for Briggs' set.

With only two spotlights on her back, Briggs took the stage and immediately launched into a vocal line that puts most modern vocalists to shame. With a ridiculous amount of energy (we're pretty sure she didn't stop moving around the stage), perfectly orchestrated song performances of tracks like "White Flag", "Wild Horses", "Baby", and the ever-popular "River", Bishop Briggs brought forth a vivacious, effervescent, near-perfect set in the world of Bay Area alternative music. It goes without saying, but we hope that she returns very soon.
