5 Seconds of Summer Announce Live Album, 2023 World Tour Dates
5 Seconds of Summer has announced that they will be releasing a brand new live album titled The Feeling of Falling Upwards: Live From The Royal Albert Hall. The album will be available digitally on April 14th, while physical copies will be available on July 14th. The songs come from the band’s performance at the iconic UK venue last year, and includes reimagined versions of tracks from throughout their 11-year catalog. During the performance, the band were accompanied by a 12-piece symphony orchestra and a 12-piece gospel choir.
In a press release announcing the album, vocalist/drummer Ashton Irwin stated the following:
“’The Feeling of Falling Upwards’ is simply supposed to describe to you the feeling that we have experienced together, the feeling of taking a leap of faith on such a fickle thing like music. And sharing this experience together year after year, season after season of our lives.”
Additionally, the band has announced that they will be heading out on a run of world tour dates slated to kick off on August 10th in Uncasville, CT. The North American leg will wrap up on September 14th in Inglewood, CA before heading overseas, culminating with two performances at Las Vegas’ When We Were Young Festival on October 21st and 22nd.
