Fall Out Boy Release Updated Cover of Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start The Fire"

Shortly after kicking off their So Much (For) Stardust tour, Fall Out Boy has dropped a cover of Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start The Fire”. The track features updated lyrics, notating current events that have taken place from 1989 to now. In a statement on the social media, the band wrote the following:

“I thought about this song a lot when I was younger. All these important people and events- some that disappeared into the sands of time- others that changed the world forever. So much has happened in the span of the last 34 years- we felt like a little system update might be fun. Hope you like our take on it…”

You can check out the band’s cover below, and you can click here to buy tickets for the band’s upcoming dates. Fall Out Boy will perform at Mountain View’s Shoreline Amphitheatre on Wednesday, July 5th, 2023.
